LDS is the perfect place to finally fulfill your childhood musical dreams 🥹 last month, i stumbled upon a Luis Drum Studio ad and I definitely don’t regret availing their drum solo practice room session. at first, I booked just because i’ve always dreamt of playing the drums but never had the opportunity to actually hold drum sticks and sit behind a real drum kit prior to that experience. the room was well-conditioned, complete w a laptop so you can jam along to songs, and even an en-suite bathroom! taking drum lessons from them was the natural next step! and on that note, shoutout to teacher Luz who is ever so patient!! she’s extremely efficient, encouraging and effective when it comes to teaching! Her straight-to-the-point method ensures you don’t waste a single minute of your 1hr n a half lesson, but still enjoy it all through out. I’ve learnt so much over just my first two lessons thanks to her, and the drums are definitely the next instrument i’m falling in love with. if I had endless money, i’d practice in the studio 24/7 haha. All the teachers/staff that I have encountered are friendly and approachable: during my first time, i got lost on the way to the 3rd flr and teacher Luis himself immediately stepped in for directions. and upon entering the studio, you’re warmly greeted by teacher She to welcome you in. next on the list is to take voice lessons from her so the neighbors stop thinking there’s a dying cat next door but I believe they also offer guitar and piano lessons as well, aside from drums and voice at LDSÂ

Luis Drum Studio offers great music lessons! I am taking drum lessons as of now and I must say I am enjoying every lesson with my teacher. He is very patient and fun to be with. Absolutely beautiful and iconic place. The grounds is very well-maintained and seemed very safe. I took a nice quick look at the museum that was quite small but captured the essence of the importance of the university.
The university just had a really nice vibe to it and the greenery was just really nice to look at. Had no issues with anyone here and everyone was just friendly.

This is the biggest university in the city of Manila and being the only Pontifical university in the Philippines it was the only university to be visited by the Pope. The main building is truly an architectural heritage as the first earthquake-proof structure in the entire country. You could have a leisurely walk around its several parks or hear mass an the air conditioned Santissimo Rosario Parish.
The Museum of Arts and Sciences is the oldest existing museum in the country so it is worth a visit. The University will be celebrating its 400th founding anniversary next year so there will be a lot of activities planned.

A 70 year old batch mate who’s visiting from Cebu, decided to drop by.
While walking around the campus, he decided to check on the status of his ID which he applied online. So he went to alumni bldg (BGPOP), but was stopped by the guard when he said that he didn’t have an appointment. He said that it’s just a simple follow up. Could he talk to the secretary.
He was told in so many words that the secretary doesn’t have time for him.
HOW ARROGANT! Our group applied for a permit tour around the campus in 4 vans which will probably take around 15 minutes before we go to have lunch.
WE WERE DENIED, after sitting on our application more than 2 week.

This academy would be great if you are not new to music or instruments and are looking to perfect your skill. But if you are new to any part of it, find another place who can help guide you better. Definitely try the free lessons first before deciding. They are not very helpful at making you feel like a satisfied customer.

I enrolled my son at Icon Music Studios to try drums this school break. He is 10years old and he seems to somewhat like music. During his scheduled sessions, he sees other kids come in for other lessons also (voice and piano) and about 8 or 9years ago, I used to be a student here for guitar as well. I feel that this is the right place for him to explore that side of himself and I hope he never loses his interest in music even when he gets older.

I have been taking pop singing lessons at Icon Music Studios for almost a year under the tutelage of Marissa Buñag, a well-known professional singer and have learned how to sing properly using her individualized no-nonsense approach to singing lessons.
When choosing songs to practice on, she discourages the “easy” and prefers the more challenging songs. Vocal fry, run/riff, mic control, and vibrato are just a few of the techniques you will learn. Then you apply these techniques and connect with the listener. That is the formula for success!
As I have dreamed of playing the piano, where better a place to learn it but at Icon. Being a choir member, this helps me so much in understanding choir pieces. The piano lessons are effective, but a lot home practice is required.
Overall, Icon Music Studios does not disappoint. It has nice facilities and strong air-conditioning where everyone is comfortable. You will improve your singing here.

hi.. it was nice to experience this singing lesson first time.. and for my child.. she had a good time.. even first time, she was braved enough to speak to her teacher, show her little gift, and show her desire to learn.. teacher yam was patient enough to listen to her even if there were problems with audio. though the session started late because we were not accepted on time (i still had to call attention from messenger), teacher yam was able to use the allotted time very well..
