Pottery Sessions

Cher Lim

I have been going to pottery sessions for years now. I love practicing there because it’s always clean and organized, it’s cool, and there are plenty of tool available to try. The teachers are great – I highly recommend their courses especially if you’re a beginner potter looking to improve on the wheel. The store near the entrance also has plenty of supplies from throwing tools to different glazes. If you go to practice frequently, they ensure that your pieces are stored properly to dry slowly. The glazes available are also really pretty! I’m glad there’s a place like this in Makati for a community of potters

Shaina Cheng

I’m currently on my 3rd session of the basic wheel throwing course and I’ve been loving it so far! The instructors are super knowledgeable, they guide you when you need help but also give you the space to figure out what techniques work best for you. It’s been such a fun and rewarding experience. I’d definitely recommend this workshop to anyone who’s interested in learning the basics of pottery!

Sonia Ben Hlel

I took the handbuilding course and absolutely loved the experience. The studio has a beautiful, welcoming atmosphere, and it’s clear that the instructors are not only incredibly knowledgeable but also genuinely passionate about pottery. They create such a supportive environment for learning and exploration. I was especially grateful for how accommodating they were, since I was leaving the country shortly after the course, they made sure my piece was prioritized so I could take it home with me. Thank you so much for a wonderful experience

Craft MNL

C S

I’ve attended 3 workshops here so far: mosaic making, indigo dyeing, and Baybayin writing. Enjoyed each experience! I’d like to join a woodworking class next.

Owners and operators a warm and friendly bunch – you can come early or stay late, help clean up, and chat away with them. Craft materials and products, as well as Manila Bake goodies, on sale too.

The studio is in one of the older buildings on Pasay Rd/Arnaiz Ave that also houses Exclusively His and Ritual. Visiting the Pamana-Languages building is nostalgic for me as I was an occasional patron of its past tenant, the original mudslide-serving Cable Car.

J Devie

A good experience in leather crafting. They give you a basic set of tools and coach you through a couple of basic projects. While the teacher was very good at working leather, she could use a more pedagogical approach and ensure everyone has a good view of her examples.

therese hautea

Learn new skills by joining one of their classes. They have a wide range of workshops for kids, teens & adults

Laro Ceramics

Took my mom and sister to try out their wheel taster during the opening. The staff are very caring and friendly. Guiding the students while also letting them go through the experience was nice. The studio looks perfect, and there’s a big window at the center so you get all that natural light in while you’re on the wheel!

Special note: their wellness sets were arranged so beautifully, it felt like installation art! Can’t wait for Got Baked to open too!!

Mikee Alvero

One of my favorite places when I need to be inspired or just want to unwind from the busy busy world. The Laro team is super accommodating and thoughtful, I love being surrounded by them.

Moira B.

The location is so nice! The space itself is very spacious, gives off the best vibe for a fun & chill pottery session

UST College of Fine Art and Design

Jacob Paulino

Newly renovated, looks much cleaner and gives opportunity for students to be creative along the hallways. Restrooms are also much better than before although some are already experiencing troubles.

Gravity Art Space

JG

The entance is easy to miss. Look for the Nanka steakhouse. First floor is reception and gift shop. Second floor is the exhibit (stairs involved, not PWD accessible). With some parking slots nearby.

Rowshan Begum

The gallery has a lovely space and a great pick of contemporary artworks. Must check it out!

Francis Jacob “Jake” Matias

Good arts gallery to check out if you’re interested in both new and old art pieces. However, the free roam experience may only last 10-20 minutes due to the small space this arts gallery has to offer.

Tahanan Pottery Shop & Studio

Patricia O

Had an amazing time in Tahanan! Did a workshop on bowl making and enjoyed the whole experience. Very interactive and teacher was really experienced and well-versed with slab pottery. Was really worth it and fun. Will be back for another 7-session class!

Cez Prieto

If I live here I want to avail the basic pottery workshop! This place is inspiring and our mug-making instructor was accommodating with us.

Mighty Mouse

Very accommodating when initially inquiring about their classes but not so once you actually put in the money. I happen to find their reponses “politely rude”.

The filipino instructor they hired taught pretty well, and he was pretty good at his craft. There were no issues about the class themselves, just the approach of the people who run this place!

Very poor business ethics and customer service.

Definitely wouldn’t go back again.

Very Good experience for 1st time to experience the pottery. Sir Alfred is good teacher and approachable. My son also enjoy the moment especially the car that he requested. Thank you Sir Alfred

Caroline Umali

Great little studio in Quezon City region. Alfred and his team have a space which is very homely and I will always visit whenever I’m in town.

Organized and attentive staff. The brushes need replacement because the bristles are only half as thick as they were. Then when we paid at the cashier, we told them beforehand that we were working within Eastwood so we should have 100 pesos off per head. But the attendant didn’t even pay attention and didn’t ask for ID, then he swiped the card for the entire amount of the transaction without giving the discount. Since the payment was by credit card, we didn’t get the discount because it was deemed paid.

Honor Dela Cruz

We took a evening guided class. We enjoyed practice painting. The place was busy.

The staff were friendly and skilled.

You don’t get your own personal instructor instead they have several staff roaming the room who will assist when asked. They offer one glass of free wine… red or white. You can bring your own drinks and snacks. don’t recommend wearing your nice clothes as you might get paint on them. They provide an apron which works fine. Was worth the money. Overall a great experience!

What a great experience! The staff and the is extremely friendly and helpful. They always have a smile on their face making it really easy for us to approach them. Pepper is just a delight, I can’t get my hands off him. Definitely gonna go back for another painting session, will bring my sister for sure.

Innah Figueroa

Cool intimate art studio perfect for a chill creative hangout with friends or loved ones. Rates are reasonable and would depend on the medium you choose (mug, tote bag, canvas, etc.).

It’s not an art class, you will draw and paint at your own pace within your time slot. They will just assist you in getting your materials. If you are not able to finish within shop hours, I believe they give you an option to come back another day to finish. There’s a chance you won’t be able to take home your work of art immediately (especially if you choose an afternoon slot) because they still need to seal the paint on your stuff! You can just return and get them once done or have them picked up via courier.

I just started the online drawing classes and find them very helpful. The guidelines are easy to follow and the critique is also really helpful to learn what you are doing wrong, so you can improve.

My daughter has been with art smart for 6 years now. She is very happy and she is learning a lot from them.

The whole place is fun and calming at the same time. Their cafe uses yardstick coffee beans iykyk. They offer free sockets and wifi too(for those who want to work here). Watching people do pottery live is mesmerizing (coffee plus free show?!). Pet friendly place too

As for the studio area. The classes are all beginner friendly for those who want to try. Vibes are cool and friendly. The whole place has natural lighting so photos come out great

Daphne R.

This café is spacious and naturally well-lit, with a charming mix-and-match style of furniture that really works. The coffee is high quality—perfect for catching up with friends or enjoying a quiet read on your own. The cookies are just okay, but if you’re interested in pottery, they also offer lessons! It’s a great spot for taking photos too.

Fun experience! Me & my partner attended a wheel throwing class and the teacher was very good and knowledgeable. Thank u to Ms. Meanne our teacher for guiding us & Also the owner of the cafe outside for chatting w us and making our drinks!!

KIT101 ART

Kathrina Dimal

Kit101 is different from all other art programs around Manila. Their teachers mentor the students in the whole art process from conceptualizing, planning, doing studies on their artwork, and finally working til they finish a piece. My daughter is 4 years old and the kind of work she does surprises even me! She is also able to do the same quality work even at home because she understands and masters how the art work is made. Plus the place has an nice friendly vibe. Teacher Taka and Teacher Erwin are very easy to talk to. We love going to Kit101.

Jana Xiao

Thank you teacher Taka!
